Sticks and Stones

I hardly ever name my quilts, but for some reason,
this quilt had a name before it was started.

One day, when the girls were doing this:
Color Me fabric from www.studioefabrics.com
& Crayola Fabric Markers (at Target)

I started drawing this:
I wanted to do something with solids, and lots of different types of quilting--
especially pebble quilting.
(I'm still totally in love with pebble quilting--like I did here.)
Here is the quilt in process . . .
on my design wall . . .
or lack of design wall!
Painters tape worked pretty well.

  31. Oh wow! Stunning quilt. It's so neat to see your inspiration . . . I have a picture my son drew that he calls Mommy's Quilt Picture. Somehow I will make this quilt one day. I have a picture of it on my Flickr (Ruby Grey Studio) page, it is similar in that he has long rows... I'm so inspired to make this quilt now after seeing yours. AND I have always LOVED pebble quilting but have never tried. I may just need to go "play" and try it! Laura of Ruby Grey Stuido
