Works in Progress, 11.9.11

Finished this week:
My Starflower Quilt
This was a quilt that I designed (using Jennifer's starflower block tutorial) for my month as the quilter of my do. Good Stitches Peace Circle.  My daughters LOVED having blocks arrive in the mail all month long - how fun!
I just got the binding sewn on and took a bunch of photos --
I'll do a full post on this in a few days!

In Progress:
I'm (sort of) keeping up with the Leila's
Skill Builder Sampler.  These are blocks 13 & 15.

This is going to be a Christmas tree skirt -
on Sew Mama Sew.
Just need to quilt it, then cut the center out,
and figure out what to use for binding (red?  white?  green?)
Next up, stockings!

Happy Wednesday!

  10. Ok, I love the starflower quilt. When I first looked at it I saw a chain, then I looked again and saw the stars. I love quilts that are a pattern within a pattern!

  11. The starflower quilt is just stunning.

I was also really drawn to your Christmas tree skirt, it is so rare to see plain stars on a patterned background, usually it's the other way around. I love it!

  19. Your color choices are simply lovely; you have a great eye for color and placement! You have done a fantastic job on your skill-building blocks! Thank you for telling me where they are located, I have heard other people post about such blocks, but I did not know they were coming from a particular site!
