Solid Swoon Mini Quilt

I finished up my solid Swoon mini quilt this week,
and thought it would look pretty outside in the new snow.
(The blurry white smudges on the photo are snowflakes falling!)
This is my neighbor's clothesline,
my favorite spot to photograph my quilts.
This is the first time it's been quite so snowy this winter!
Close-up of the quilting --
pebble quilting in the background,
and hand-quilting outlining the star points.
I wasn't sure that this
combination of machine FMQ & hand-quilting
would "work" -- but now that it's done,
I love it!
And the back looks so cool!

This quilt will soon be headed to my secret partner in the
For the Love of Solids Swap.
I'm also linking up to Ellison Lane Quilts'
Mini Quilt Contest --
be sure to check out all of the amazing entries!

  20. That is a stunning simple quilt. Love it! Your photos with the snowy backdrop is just spectacular. I've only seen snow a couple of times in my life so it looks beautiful to me. I know living with snow can be a real pain and it makes lots of mess but when it's pristine and coating everything it looks fabulous.
