wow - lots of beautiful stuff here!! LOVE your Zakka tote and really like your color wheel too!
ReplyDeleteLove the colour wheel. How about quilting it in concentric circles or go in a spiral one way on the colour and then reverse the direction on the solid. I wouldn't quilt the centre circle at all.
ReplyDeleteWill look forward to seeing how you finish it off.
I love your colour wheel quilt - I quilted a similar quilt with diagonal lines through the "blades" that ended up looking like spokes in a wheel and it worked really well. Here's the link: Wonder Wheel. Whatever you do, I'm sure it will be fab!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous stuff! Love the colour wheel, it's on my to do list as well.
ReplyDeleteVery productive week, and great way to use up those leftover HSTs in the bag
ReplyDeleteLove the retro flowers, what are your plans for them? And the colour wheel- great!
ReplyDeleteOh I just love the brown as the background on your color wheel quilt! I am just dying to get started on this pattern. I'd go for some sort of all over stipple...or loops? whatever you decide will be fabulous I'm sure :-) Great Retro Flowers blocks, love that blue!
ReplyDeleteYour zakka tote is so cool! I love that color wheel too.
ReplyDeleteThat DQS quilt is adorable! I love the stitched flying geese in the centre. Great colour wheel, Michelle. Maybe a spiral outwards for the quilting? Like this - http://cadouri-din-inima.blogspot.ca/2012/04/rainbow-quilt-finished.html. Good luck and can't wait to see what you do with it.
ReplyDeleteThose Zakka projects are so cute!!(I scrolled down and saw the house pouch too!). You have a ton of projects on the go, love the fabrics you chose for the color wheel quilt. Sorry, no idea on how to quilt it, I only know how to do straight lines!!!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks fabulous!! I would probably do organic diagonal lines through the petals, but that's just me. It's adorable any way you decide to quilt it.
ReplyDeleteEverything look great. I was also going to say a sprial like the commenter above or I always fall back on diagonal lines. I'll look forward to seeing what you decide.
ReplyDeleteGreat projects. Love tyour mini quilt. The color whell quilt is my favorite though.
ReplyDeleteYou've got some really great pieces. I saw you at WIP and I'm your newest follower.
