My City Sampler quilt top is finally finished, and I'm so happy with it! This quilt is going to be a gift for my husband's mom for her 70th Birthday, and so it is constructed of 70 blocks, 7 rows of 10. It's a bit of an odd size -- long enough for a double bed, but not quite wide enough -- but I think it will be a lovely "cuddle quilt" for her living room.
The fabrics are Sugar Pop by Moda, the same fabrics I used for my Farmer's Wife Quilt. In fact, most of the squares were made from leftovers and scraps! I threw in a few pink, brown and turquoise solids, too, and the background is Kona Snow. I used an alternating square/diamond setting again, just like for my Farmer's Wife and Granny Square quilts. I just love this setting!
I love how this quilt looks out in the snow!
