Parallel Paths

Would you believe that the day after I finished the pillow above, the quilt below arrived in my mailbox?!?!
By Emily
(isn't it the cutest mini quilt ever?!)

One of my Dad's favorite sayings has always been "Great minds run in parallel paths," so I couldn't help but think of this phrase after I opened my DQS13 package!   How fun!

I made this for my daughter for Valentine's Day -- I thought that she'd have fun hiding stuffed animals and secret notes in the pocket.  And I had considered making the rounded petal version like Emily did, but figured that it would be easier to make the pointed Dresdens (much less hand sewing!).  So I just smiled and laughed when Emily's mini quilt arrived!

I would highly recommend this pattern (by Nova at acuppaandacatchup) -- it was easy to read and quick to make.  I sewed everything by machine, while Emily did most of her mini-quilt sewing by hand.  And both look great!
I finished it off with light quilting on the back, and a flap covered zipper:

  7. With havin so much written content do you ever run into any
issues of plagorism or copyright violation? My website has a lot of unique content I've either authored myself or outsourced but it looks like a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my agreement. Do you know any methods to help reduce content from being ripped off? I'd truly appreciate it.
