Just a couple of quick pictures from our Thanksgiving weekend -- next it's on to decorating for Christmas! The felt garland idea comes from cluckclucksew.com. The quilted tree hanging on our front door is something I just made up -- inspired by the Whip Up Mini Quilts book by Kathreen Ricketson. The tree is brown fleece leftover from making a stuffed sheep for Lexi, and the leaves are scraps of fabric I had left from other projects. The girls helped me place the leaves in various spots, and then I quilted around the edges. I finished the binding last Saturday while watching their swimming lessons. I've figured out that I can usually finish a small quilt binding during a 1/2 hour of swimming lessons!
