My Summer Sampler quilt top is finished!
I love, love, love this quilt.
Thanks to these lovely ladies,
I am now totally comfortable with (and probably addicted to!) paper piecing.
I enjoyed this quilt along so much!
As I was posting these photos,
my husband looked over my shoulder and said "wow, that's pretty."
I couldn't agree more!
The fabrics are all from the DS Quilts collection,
with coordinating Kona solids in red, navy, and chartreuse.
Any thoughts on how to quilt it?

Oooh, Michelle, I love how this turned out! I love the way you sashed each block differently, and I'm right there with you, feeling the love for paper piecing! :)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the different frames on each block! Fantastic. And thanks for your Kona colors...those will be handy when I use my DS Quilts! Can't wait to see this finished up!

ReplyDeleteLooks wonderful!! You even take the pictures nicely..I like the one with the flowers at the bottoms of the pic..Nice Job!!
ReplyDeleteThis looks great! I think I would quilt it using a circular pattern starting in the center and radiating out because it would give nice contrast to all the straight lines.
ReplyDeleteWOW! I love the framing and it does look beautiful! I just played with the DS collection in white, but now I am thinking it looks amazing in these solids you choose.
ReplyDeleteSo creative, how you framed them in different colors! Very cool!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, I love the colors you used! What about different quilting in each block, something that accentuates each block. That would be cool!
ReplyDeleteSo fabulous!
ReplyDeleteOhh I just love it!! I would do some sort of free motion quilting for sure, can't wait to see what you decide!!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! Amazing quilt!
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteNicely done -- I really like the different colors for the frames, and like Marci Girl above, maybe quilt each block differently to bring out each pattern. It's a really pretty quilt, well executed.
ReplyDeleteThe fabrics work really well together - it coordinates really well. Good job!

ReplyDeleteIt's so beautiful! Love the colorful frames around each block. Great job!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! And as everyone else has said, the frames around the blocks are fabulous! Love the colors you have chosen. Can't help you much on the quilting, though. Great work!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautifu! I love the colors and the different colors around each block is brilliant! I don't know about the quilting, either. I'm sure whatever you do will be beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous! I'm having mine quilted in a meander - all those seams need some curves, LOL!
