My quilt top for the DQS14 is finished!
I think this might be the most challenging quilt I've ever made.
The pattern is adorable (Starburst Spools by Charise Creates) -- but getting all of those seams to line up was quite a difficult task!!! And since it's a quilt I'm sending to someone, I couldn't bear for it to not be perfect (or at least close to perfect)!
This little quilt measures 15 x 15 inches.
Now I just need to figure out how to quilt it. . .
I'm thinking about hand quilting the center starburst, and then free motion quilting a small design in the white background, so that the spools really pop. If you have other advice, though, please share!!!
Can't believe it is that small! I agree with your quilting suggestions - that would look perfect.
ReplyDeletehis is a real beauty, a lovely design, not good enough to advuse re quilting but please photo when you have done it
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Michelle!! I think that quilting design would be great here....

ReplyDeleteReally cute Michelle!
ReplyDeleteVery fun! Though it does look a little tricky!
ReplyDeleteOh, that is my kind of mini quilt. So fun and such great fabric choices! Thanks for your very sweet comment on my post today. And thanks for admitting that it does feel like "everyone" is writing a book. haha, sometimes I think it's just me!
ReplyDeleteOh just stunning Michelle! It even looks as though you fussy placed the center diamonds? Oh my, I would not have the patience for that. fabulous! I would have a hard time giving this away.
ReplyDeletethat is fabulous, love it! Not sure I can help with the quilting dilemma, other than I agree the spools should pop.
